Thank you, thank you ...


...Susan for posting about using purl stitches rather than markers. I actually started over - again - yesterday with new yarn, new needle size, and purl stitches rather than knit and markers. The difference is absolutely amazing! A picture of the former knitting is on my blog, but the above is what I managed to do yesterday afternoon and evening. I'm about to the end of the increase section. The yarn I'm using is a wool and sheared mink blend (wonderfully soft!), and I'm using size 6 needles. I began with five skeins of yarn (50g each), and I haven't quite finished the first. I just might be all right.

I glad I could pass on the tip :) It makes ahuge difference doesn't it! I am quite happy with the results of mine as well. I'll post pics later on.

sheared mink?! how in the world do you pull THAT off??? that yarn sounds really cool--is it also handspun? it's looking great!

The mink is what caught my attention too. Tres chic! I bet it will be wonderfully warm and like "butta".
