When Monday Rolls Around, everything will slow down
...But for now, I'm feeling pretty on top of things.
That looks great. We're in about the same spot. It looks like yours is laying nice and flat while mine is rolling signicantly now that I started dropping stitches. Is yours really laying flat like it seems in the picture?
It takes some coaxing to lie flat, but my yarn is made out of bamboo, so it's got a strange sort of stiffness to it - not unpleasant, but something like slightly starched cotton (that sounds unpleasant. Need another descriptor).
The pictures on the knitty website look pretty curly to me, so I'm not stressing about it. I think it's supposed to be part of the fabric's charm. I seem to recall reading that you can block out the curliness when done, but I rather like it.

Lauren, to be honest, the yarn is not soft. The knit side is relatively smooth, but the purl side is fairly scratchy.
I do wonder if it will soften with washing, though.
